How Loyola University Reduced Medical Student Burnout
ABSTRACT
Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine (SSOM) implemented DistrictZero's AI-SaaS platform to tackle student burnout and enhance well-being. The pilot study included 32 third-year medical students in the active group, 32 third-year control students who were not active in the study, 16 faculty physician mentors from diverse specialties, and 3 administrative staff members who supported and managed the program. This study aims to represent 19% of the 170 students in the graduating class of 2026. Within five months, 86% of the active group students reported improved well-being, and mentor intervention efficiency improved 240x. This case study outlines the challenges, solutions, and impressive results achieved through our comprehensive, integrated approach.
